Los Angeles, California – On September 27, HCE and Cedars-Sinai hosted an educational program that discussed topics on ACO, bundle payment, access to ED, and hospital acute care policies. Before the program, the attendees were given a tour of the Women’s Guild Simulation Center for Advanced Clinical Skills where HCE president Dr. Harry Sax demonstrated a minor surgical procedure using the interactive education tools available at the center.
The program continued in one of the conference rooms where a panel of guest of speakers presented on topics around the Affordable Care Act that involves emergency care, MACRA, bundled payments, and current key legislative policies and issues. The panel of speakers were Dr. Kelly Unger, Chief Medical Officer at Emergent Medical Associates; Richard Stephenson, CEO & President of Risarc; and Martin Gallegos, Senior VP of Policy Development and Communications at the Hospital Association of Southern California.
The Executive Outreach Committee, once again, hosted a successful event for our members and guests. Thank you to Emergent Medical Associates and FirstMed Ambulance for sponsoring the program.
