Los Angeles, CA – Hosted by the three ACHE California chapters – Health Care Executives of Southern California (HCE), California Association of Healthcare Leaders (CAHL) and San Diego Organization of Healthcare Leaders (SOHL) – the 3rd Annual Western Region College Bowl once again delivered a highly competitive and inspiring event for ACHE’s California College Network. On April 9, fifteen teams from 12 schools participated in this year’s College Bowl, including teams from the University of Arizona, University of Nevada Las Vegas, University of Utah, and University of Washington. The school teams with their advisors and supporters, along with board members from the three host chapters, gathered in the California Endowment to determine among them the best in healthcare management knowledge and application via the undergrad jeopardy-style and graduate case study competitions.
The winners of the case study competition on Montefiore Hudson Valley Collaborative are: UCLA (first place), USC (2nd place), CSU Los Angeles (third place). CSU Chico, once again, took home the gold, while UNLV took home second, in the undergraduate competition. All winners received prize monies given generously by this year’s sponsor COPE Health Solutions.
