Ventura, California – On July 12, HCE and the Hospital Association of Southern California (HASC) jointly presented an educational program to inform association members of the new application process for health care facility licensing by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). Facilitated by HCE’s Ventura & Santa Barbara Programs Council and hosted by Community Memorial Hospital, representatives from the Center for Health Care Quality, Licensing and Certification Program presented on the new system called the Centralized Applications Unit (CAU) which processes all healthcare licensing applications that were previously processed at CDPH’s district office. The program was well attended by hospital operations leaders and healthcare facility administrators from the surrounding areas.
