SUMMARY:2019 Early Careerists Pathways Program
DESCRIPTION:PATHWAYS is a 3 part series that educates early careerists and healthcare professionals about key health policy issues. Session dates: 10/30\, 11/14\, 11/19 from 6pm-8pm. \nWHAT IS PATHWAYS? \nDeveloped collaboratively by Health Care Executives of Southern California (HCE So-Cal) and Hospital Association of Southern California (HASC)\, the PATHWAYS program educates early careerists and healthcare professionals about key health policy issues and prepares them for our changing healthcare industry. \nHOW DOES THE PROGRAM WORK? \nThis program provides an opportunity for participants to connect with senior industry leaders and academic experts throughout a series of three to four comprehensive sessions. The two-hour sessions will be held in varying locations across Los Angeles from 6 PM – 8 PM. The program is a combination of expert speaker presentations and interactive cohort participation\n \nWHO CAN PARTICIPATE? \nEarly Careerists who are nominated by a leader or mentor are eligible to participate. Self-nominations are also welcome.The program is limited to the first 40 participants who are nominated. First-priority consideration will be given to early careerists who are active ACHE/HCE members.  \nHOW MUCH DOES THE PROGRAM COST?\nThe sponsorship fee is $120.2019 PROGRAM TOPICS INCLUDE: \n\n\nIntroduction to Healthcare Policy\nIntroduction to population Health\nTechnology & Innovation Policy\nEnvironmental/Workplace Health & Safety\nIntroduction to HASC
