SUMMARY:The State of Healthcare
DESCRIPTION:This is a virtual event with the ACHE SouthEast Texas Chapter (Houston\, Austin\, Galveston\, and Beaumont). It will compare and contrast how the two regions respond to the pandemic. \nPanel Discussion Ticket: Attendees will gain an understanding of the challenges different communities in different parts of\nthe country face in fighting the pandemic. The importance of public health; public-private and public health/care provider collaborations; strategies to use in addressing health inequities; how politics impacts how public health is approached. \nPanel Discussion + Guided Small Group Discussion Ticket: After the panel discussion\, there will be a guided small group discussion/networking for 60 min. The small group discussions will include participants from Texas and California. The discussion topic is based on the attendees’; thoughts regarding what communities could or should be doing about the panel discussion issues. (Group size 10-12). \nPanel Discussion Link will be provided with your registration confirmation email. Guided Small Group Discussion link will be emailed separately to those registered. \n \nThis virtual program has been approved for 2.5 Qualified Education credits.

SUMMARY:Board of Governors Exam Prep Series
DESCRIPTION:Becoming board certified as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) demonstrates your competence\, credibility and dedication to healthcare management excellence. Passing the Board of Governors Examination in Healthcare Management (BOG Exam) is the final step to earning the FACHE credential. The BOG Exam is comprehensive\, consisting of multiple-choice questions that test 10 core knowledge areas. To do your best on the exam\, you need to be thoroughly prepared\, and Healthcare Executives of Southern California is pleased to offer a review course that will help you. We have assembled a team of local subject matter experts who are also FACHEs to present the review sessions covering 10 Core Knowledge areas. This course will allow attendees to: \n\nLearn from instructors who are subject matter experts and FACHE credentialed\nGain insight into all 10 core knowledge areas\nPrepare for the BOG exam over five Saturdays\, September 26 through October 24\nSave time and eliminate travel expenses by participating virtually\nReview sample test questions and gain a better understanding of the exam’s content\, structure and scoring\nCollaborate and network with other FACHE candidates\n\nWhether you use the course to set the foundation for your study or take it as the culmination of your preparation\, you will gain valuable insight into the knowledge areas you have already mastered and where further study may be needed—all in a systematic and enjoyable manner. This course is offered to our Southern California chapter members at a discounted rate of $250 that includes all course materials and interactive sessions. Non-members and ACHE members from other chapters are welcome to attend at the normal $350 rate. We are also offering a refund of 50% of the course price once you pass the FACHE exam.
